This page sets out how Normandy Excursions makes money, what our relationship with the tour operators is, and what that means for what you read here.

We earn a commission

When you book a tour through a link on this site, Normandy Excursions may earn a commission from the booking platform, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay going direct. That commission is the whole of how this site is funded.

What we are not

Operators cannot pay for placement

No operator has paid to appear on this site, to appear higher on it, or to be one of the three featured departures. The three featured departures are the most reviewed day on the coast, an afternoon that covers the same ground in half the time, and the abbey day with its ticket included — three different kinds of day rather than three versions of one. A featured tour also needs three genuine traveller reviews to fill its own page, and four of these listings publish no review text at all.

Where the numbers come from

Prices, ratings, review counts, durations, group sizes and cancellation terms are the operators’ own figures, taken from each tour’s booking listing on 2026-09-04. They change without notice, and the operator’s page is always the authority. Opening hours and admission prices are the published figures of the American Battle Monuments Commission, the Centre des monuments nationaux, the Fondation Claude Monet and the museums named beside them.

Bookings are handled by Viator, which is the platform the operators list on. Their terms, their cancellation policy and their privacy notice apply to the booking itself. Our own privacy policy covers this site.

Reviews

Every review quoted on this site is a paraphrase of a real review left on that tour’s own booking listing, with the reviewer’s handle, month and star rating as published. Critical reviews are kept. Traveller types are recorded only where the reviewer said so. Nothing is invented, and no rating or review count on this site is marked up as our own data.
